How to use

Place down an RC Car, open the Remote Control app, and click -> Activate Device. Then, when the pairing screen comes up, click Activate and enter a 4-digit control password.

To prevent other players from misusing your RC Equipment, you could choose only to share the control password with those you wish to have control.

Potential Design Tweakable: A player could troll by picking up the RC Equipment and scrolling away, making the RC unusable. However, limiting the ability to pick up is not a fix because allowing all players to pick up is a good balance, as the RC Car can easily roll over and need to be placed down again in order to drive.
